Special Warmth and Heritage Character
The Glenshiel consists of 68 private bed-sitting rooms in a 3-storey heritage building that was originally built in 1908. Building amenities include a warm and comfortable lobby with a beautiful wood burning fireplace, a bright and cheerful dining room, the Thistle Lounge with it's baby grand piano, a large, sunny deck that overlooks Beacon Hill Park and a quiet reading nook.
Located across the street from Beacon Hill Park, at 606 Douglas Street, The Glenshiel maintains a special warmth and heritage character. We are fortunate to be a short distance from downtown as well as conveniently located near physician services, seniors centres, quiet parks, historic homes (including Emily Carr House) and all necessary amenities.
